WHAT DOES PLANETARY NODES MEAN FOR THE INDIVIDUAL?
It seems to me that using close aspects (max 3 degrees orb for conjunctions and 1 or max 2 degrees for other aspects) that people who influence the many always (so far as I have checked) have aspects to collective planetary nodes. The archetype of the planet and collective node involved will relate to what they are famous for.
A FEW EXAMPLES:
JK Rowling, famous for creating the imaginary universe of Harry Potter that has brought joy to children all around the world has the Sun (fame) conjunct the north node of Neptune (imagination) in Leo (creation). Her MC (career and vocation) is conjunct both her Lunar nodes (Destiny Line) and the south node of Uranus (collective mind) in Sagittarius (writers). The nodes of Uranus being conjunct the heliocentric nodes of Venus always mix those archetypes, and in Rowlings case, we see how she is known for standing up for biological reality when it comes to women (Venus) and objective truth over subjective beliefs (Sagittarius ruling both)
Kellie-Jay Keen aka Posie Parker, famous for her billboard of the dictionary definition of woman, and her consistent standing up for women against the erosion of female language, has the Lunar nodes conjunct the heliocentric nodes of Venus (women) the Sun, the MC (and the geocentric north node of Venus, not shown here)
JP Sears, comedian who became famous for making Youtube videos about being Ultra Spiritual featuring himself, has the Lunar nodes and the Moon (his I) conjunct the north node of Neptune (ruling spirituality and video)
Mikhaila Peterson, Youtube star, famous for by going contrary collective beliefs about food, having cured herself from a debilitating disease that had cost her an ankle and a hip, by her Lion diet, has the Lunar nodes (Destiny Line) conjunct the nodes of Jupiter (collective beliefs) and a stellium of Sun Moon Uranus, Neptune conjunct the north node of the Moon (south node of Jupiter) and Chiron (the wounded healer) conjunct our collective north node of Neptune (healing and video) in Leo (Lion)
Jordan Peterson, known for being psychologist for the world, telling people to take personal responsibility for themselves, for being the closest thing academia has to a rock star, for having loved his wife since they were kids, and for being really clever, has the MC (career and vocation) on the south node of Pluto (psychology) and south node of Saturn (responsibility) and the Lunar nodes (Destiny Line) conjunct the nodes of Neptune (north node in Leo=rock star), Venus (relationships) conjunct the north node of Saturn (duration), the Sun conjunct the heliocentric node of Venus, and Mercury (mind) conjunct the north node of Uranus (collective mind)
But though all the famous people I have looked at the charts of have connections to collective planetary nodes in their chart, not all people with connections to planetary nodes in their charts are famous. Some ways other ways it can play out are:
People who are personally affected by mass events. anything from people who are working on projects that influence the masses (film crew, or technology crew for example), to people especially interested in “mass events” for whatever reason, to people who personally experience consequences for better or worse of “mass events”.
there may be great depth to the person in the area of the archetype of the collective node. Sometimes a talent or gift, or a struggle ..sometimes those go together. -A client of mine comes to mind. Gemini rising with Mercury and the MC conjunct the south node of Neptune. She was a beautiful young woman, and terribly lonely, as even though she was popular with men because of her good looks, she tended to end up in relationships where she was financially dependent on a partner she didn’t love and whom she didn’t feel seen by. (Neptune rules both idealization, blindness/not seeing something, and loneliness/isolation). She liked photography and wanted to find a way to make a living of it. Her chart in general had an urge towards independence. As Neptune also rules photography I told her that Mercury chart ruler, and MC=vocation on a collective node of Neptune should be good for a photographer career, and due to other chart factors we talked about possibilities of traveling. I was so happy for her, to later learn that she had found a way of making an independent living taking photos; traveling while taking pictures of luxury resorts.
progressions and solar arcs in aspect to planetary nodes
-a personal example; Mark Jones was the one who introduced me to planetary nodes. When I first became aware of the existence of Mark, was when I saw a lecture of his on Youtube. Though I didn’t know it, at the time my progressed Sun was conjunct my natal north node of Pluto. The year after when my progressed Sun was conjunct the heliocentric north node of Pluto I attended a lecture of his and learned about the planetary nodes, and I have been deep in the study of the nodes since.
-Another example; Jordan Peterson’s lectures on Youtube have many many millions of views. Jordan Peterson has many aspects to collective nodes in his natal chart, but he was a relatively unknown psychology professor and author of a relatively unknown book “Maps of Meaning” when he started recording and uploading his university lectures to Youtube in 2013, the year that his progressed Sun was on his natal north node of Neptune, (Neptune ruling video and movie stars). So the millions of views didn’t happen until a few years later, but the seed was planted in that he started to record and upload his lectures at the time.
